Explanatory Remarks

R.O.'s Quarters at Fanling vacated and separate meters installed in other

quarters.

Adjustment of certain charges wrongly allocated to Revenue Reward Fund. Outstanding charges for stores ordered from United Kingdom.

Smaller demand for liquor labels than anticipated and bigger stocks

in hand. Delay in printing.

No new leases for revenue stations and R.O.'s quarters in Kowloon and

New Territories have since been considered as originally envisaged. Overestimated.

Issues restricted.

Charges for drivers met from Personal Emoluments,

Posts not filled.

Additional advertising in Australia and United Kingdom to fill vacancies.

Overestimated.

Less use of Board's Services than anticipated,

Cost lower than expected.

Increased consumption due to taking over premises formerly occupied

by Custodian of Property.
